Michael Bruno is a principal in the firm. He joined Ercolini & Company LLP in September 1975. Mike directs the firm’s bankruptcy, turnaround, mergers and acquisitions, and forensic services areas. His accounting, audit, and tax experience includes engagements with closely held businesses across many diverse industries – from real estate development, syndication, and management (residential and commercial) to restaurant/hospitality, mortgage banking, and retail/service.
Mike has represented companies in successful Chapter 11 reorganizations that involved obtaining financing from various institutional lenders and equity investments from international corporations. He has performed forensic accounting services for national commercial lenders and participated in negotiating workouts and debt restructurings on behalf of clients with lenders like the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Mike has also participated in initial public offerings and other SEC registration statement filings, including publicly held real estate limited partnerships. He currently serves as a Court-appointed Trustee of Chapter 11 debtor and debtor-sponsored Employee Retirement Plans and is a member of the Boards of Directors of various domestic and international corporations. Mike is a graduate of Suffolk University.
